Hi, I'm Stacy.
I started Rainlight to be a steady presence,
a second brain, and a trusted advocate—helping older adults live with well at home.
That means practical help with life’s logistics—and also conversation, creativity, and finding moments that keep life interesting.
I work with older adults in Seattle who value independence, curiosity, and staying connected to the people and life around them. Below are some ways I can offer support.

ABOUT RAINLIGHT
Rainlight is a one-person business, and that means my clients work directly with me, versus an agency or a rotating team. My approach is one-on-one, relationship-based, and tailored to each person.
I'm also part of a small, close-knit network of experienced companions and care providers in Seattle. We meet monthly to share knowledge, support one another, further our skills through continuing education We're there to consult with one another and can fill in for each other if emergency situations arise.
Because the needs of each person varies, I try to remain flexible and also have a 3 hr minimum per visit. Rates range from $60-$125 and support can evolve over time as needs and situations change.
I try to approach this work with a simple question in mind: what would I want when I’m in this stage of life? And at the core is my respect for each person’s dignity, independence, and way of life and a commitment to help life feel more manageable, more connected to community, and when possible, more fun.

GETTING STARTED
CONSULTATION
An initial 20-30 minute phone conversation allows us to share the basics. I'll aim to understand what kind of support will be most helpful and valued. You can better understand my approach and personality. And together we can get a feel for if may be a good fit.

PLANNING
Next step is meeting in person and discussing a loose plan for how we might best work together—based on your goals, needs, & expectations and my availability. e .g., 4 hrs/ day, 2 days/ week doing TBD

SCHEDULING
Meet-ups can begin as soon as you'd like and schedules allow. After the first few visits, I recommend scheduling a check-in between clients and myself to share honest feedback—good fit? And if not, how might it be better?

MY STORY (THE SHORT ONE)
Rainlight is a second career for me, shaped by both experience and instinct. After nearly two decades working as a creative in advertising, I took a step back to focus on more personal work—and realized I wanted to use my skills in a more direct, human way.
Having been closely involved with my parents and grandparents through both everyday life and serious health challenges, I’ve seen how much of aging comes down to managing details, decisions, and change—especially without consistent support.
Rainlight grew from that awareness. It’s a way for me to offer steady, thoughtful help while using my problem-solving instincts in a way that actually makes a difference.
I continue to work as a painter alongside this work, and value the balance of helping people directly while staying connected to a creative life.
